Peter Stokkeye delivers bowl-after-bowl consistent flavors because they search the world for the best tobaccos. Virginias from Georgia get a dash of Mexican Burleys for a mild + to medium base. Unflavored Cavendishes smooth the edges between the ingredients, and Cyprian Latakia brings its smoky, woodsy flavor for some complexity. Enjoyable, all-day flavor does not overwhelm from first light to bottom of the bowl.
English Luxury was a happy surprise for me because it's not a Lat-bomb. I tasted plenty of Virginias with a hit of Burley for most of the bowl. Latakia was ever present but it played more of a support role. I moved between naturally sweet to woodsy depending on support for Virginia or Burley. If you're making a first step into Latakia or looking for an all-day English tobacco, give this one a go.
