Aging and maturity are key for great companies and wonderful tobaccos. Not only are the Golden Virginias aged before blending, but also they get another round after a pressing with Perique. Peter Stokkebye understands the result brings a mellow combination of ingredients with a mild + body. The natural Virginias and fermented Perique impress with their collaboration in this blend.
Navy Flake is a little thinner than many, so I'd recommend breaking this one up. Don't worry. None of the flavor or burn time is lost. The sweet Virginias dominated my bowl, yet the Perique provided a hint of red pepper to every puff. Light on the Perique and heavy on the Virginias made for a great bowl.
