Ashton Gold Rush pipe tobacco offers a European take on a straight Virginia. Golden Virginas make the base of the blend, but I suspect there's a dash of Red in there too. The body and flavor should both be pretty mild.
I was worried this blend was going to be one note, given the dominance of the Gold Virginias. Sure enough, the lemony-hay like quality is right there from the first light through mid-bowl, but some natural sweetness develops along the way for a bit of richness. Gold Rush would be great for an all day Virginia smoke - not very heavy and a taste that is pleasant while smoking but doesn't linger.
