Smoothness is the benchmark for 965. Latakia is added to a base of Golden Virginias with a touch of Orientals and Cavendish. The Cavendish really smooths the edges of the whole smoke and brings a savoriness to the bled. The cavendish mellows the Latakia for a medium body while keeping the flavors bold.
Now, this is an English I can get behind. The Latakia smokiness dominates the blend, but it's not overwhelming because of the unflavored Cavendishes. There's a coffee, sweetness, and complexity to 965 that I find enjoyable. If you're looking for an ideal English, I would recommend this one.
