Formally called Irish Oak, Irish Cask brings together a little bit of everything: Virginia, Cavendish, Burley, and Perique. It's been aged in oak sherry barrels to give some of the fruity, earthy, and alcohol notes. The Perique should add some spice and body. The flavor and body should be toward the fuller end; let's call it medium + to full.
This is a more Virginia forward smoke than a Perique forward smoke. The citrus of the Orange Virginias shines with the sherry flavor from the aging process. The Perique definitely shows up toward the end of the bowl, but it never takes a dominate role. The Burleys [to me] are way in the background, but I definitely feel the medium + to full body. I would put this in the "smoke when I have nothing else to do" category. It's a pleasant smoke, and that body is noticeable.
