Introduced in 1958, this blend pleases pipe-smokers for decades with a natural sweetness and mild to mild + body. Virginias comprise the base of the blend while a healthy dose of Burleys add some body. A little, unflavored Cavendish rounds out the components. The room note rates as pleasant.
Now, I found this blend to be more Burley forward, but I smoke a lot of Burleys. The nuttiness moved into the citrus of the Virginias smoothly, and I did notice a little more body than your average aro. Cavendish here seemed more to smooth the blend than adding any sweetness or topped flavor. Might be a great blend for after lunch.
