Elliott - The Crane

SOLD - Fresh off the bench, I have created this long bent with a bamboo shank.  This piece has very nice cross grain and over all has excellent grain.  I made the bowl several years ago and just last week I decided to use bamboo.  One different thing that I did was how I attached the bamboo.  I made a long briar dowel and inserted it through the bamboo.  The stem slides in at one end and the other is inserted in to the shank.  The stem is a beautiful brindle material with a lot of character.  Due to its long shape as well as the bamboo I named it the Crane.  The bowl is a touch over 2 inches tall and the over all length is 6.5 inches.
