SOLD - I am often asked what my favorite pipe creation was. I avoid that question so as not to demean a pipe that was made in the past. That said, this is my favorite pipe to date. It is not the most creative, but the briar was simply fantastic and a Dublin would make the best use of that grain. It is a very rare occasion when a block comes my was that is this fantastic. Please take note of the fancy band. It is a bronze ring that was made for a very small finger. I cut the tapered stem from fine German vulcanite. The draw is effortless. A fluffy pipe cleaner slides easily into the bowl. The plateau surface was so beautiful that I elected to retain it and apply a dark stain. The inside of the smoking chamber is smooth and has no pre carbonized coating. As they say "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder". I think it is beautiful and I hope you do.
