So I read all the "really great" reviews and I'm a sucker for the newest, greatest, or whatever adjective you want to use, so ponied up the slightly premium price and moderately high shipping costs for a jar of this blend. I should begin by saying that I'm generally a big fan of smooth, rich aromatics, but I really appreciate when I can find a blend that stays from the safe aromatic blends and ventures into something that isn't dominated by flavored casings, cavindish sweetness, and the like. They are exciting and so gratifying when you find something that takes you away from your comfort zone, yet brings you to another place entirely, yet at the same time, brings you the same beautiful satisfaction of all those "safe" and "familiar" flavors your palate has grown accustomed to. So let me come full circle..... This shit is PURE MAGIC! I am blown away by the perfect balance this blend has achieved! I know I'm probably being impulsive, but this may be the best blend I've ever tried. So much so that I hurried to the website and ordered the last tin they had in stock and 2 more with the perique addition. Suffice it to say, I will NEVER, availability depending, be without this blend EVER. I know I'm sounding all hyperbolic, but I can't overstate how excellent this tobacco blend really is. I won't bore you with all the douchy flavor profiles descriptions "woody, earthy, plum, cherry, citrus, smokey, leathery" bla bla bla..... I'll leave that to the wanna-be Pipe Acficianado Magazine writers and posers who try to sound uber-experienced in the tobacco trade. I'm just and ordinary guy who loves to smoke a pipe and appreciates excellence when I experience it, and EPHEMERIS truly is that.....pure excellence. You owe it to yourself to get at least 2 jars of this stuff. After you experienc it for the first time, you'll be annoyed at yourself rhat you didn't order more. This one is special. You will not regret it!
