Rich Red Virginias add body and complexity, contributing deeper notes of dark fruit, bread, and a gentle tang that rounds out the brighter tones. Completing the trio, Stoved Virginias provide a smooth, mellow richness, with subtle flavors of caramel, toasted sugar, and soft earth, lending the blend a refined sweetness and darker hue.
The extended aging allows the components to meld seamlessly, softening sharp edges and enhancing the natural sugars of the leaf. Top Quality Virginia
I have now bought three pounds for enjoying today, and cellaring to enjoy at various intervals in the future. This is expertly crafted with good ribbon cuts, all the colors of the Virginia rainbow and burns clean and smooth. My original bag was 1-year old when I got it. Who knows how long Sutliff had the leaf before Briary bought it. The other two pounds are just slumbering away for our future tete-a-tete sessions. The Virginias have all of the flavor notes you may expect, and the room note is to be expected for a straight and uncased/untopped pure Virginia. Thanks Briary.

Ephemeris pipe tobacco
This is a wonderful tobacco. I’m not a heavy smoker, so when I smoke, it is for complete relaxation. If I were an all day smoker, I’m certain this would be one of two “go to” blends. As an evening piper, this blend is delicious. I can watch television, read……..anything! This blend can bring you to another world, or keep you content in this one!
