Dark fired burley lays a base for a dash of Virginia, creating a smooth, full-bodied blend. The citrus-y sweetness of the Virginia mellows the earthy-sweetness of the Kentuckys during the hot-press process, and the whole blend is cut into thick flakes.
The dark fired burleys are the star of this blend. I found this to be sweeter than your usual Va/Bur blend which is due to the hot-press technique. The body seemed more medium to me, but I will say this could become heavy if pushed.
