Old Ironsides uses a base of Virginia and Kentucky before adding a healthy dose of Cyprian Latakia. Some Orientals round out the ingredients. The body is a solid medium + or maybe even full, and the flavor profile should feature lots of spicy, smokey Latakia complimented by the other components.
This blend is a showcase. Latakia is definitely the focus, but the other components compliment the smoky, sour, spicy notes. Virginias add to the sour, Kentuky pulls out the smokey, and Orientals accent the spice. It's well balanced with plenty of body, serving as a great end of the day smoke.
