Blue Flake keeps the straight Virginia quality of the Capstan line. However, there seems to be more dark Virginias in this blend. Increasing the darks should increase the body to a medium level and bring a fig-y or raisin-y quality to the blend.
A honey-like sweetness and a natural Virginia flavor stand out to me when smoking Capstan Blue. Plus, I like the cut of these flakes - eases the breaking up process or the rolling one for packing. I do think there is a little more body than the Capstan Yellow, but I didn't find it heavy by any means. If you're looking for a consistent, natural tobacco flavor, this is your smoke.
